I read fiction for relaxation and don't know if this book was any good or not since I stopped at page 52. As soon as I encounter any political correctness/"social justice" references, I close the book and I'm done. I, for one, am tired of political correctness, etc. permeating everything I see and read these days. If, and when, I want that, I will read a political book knowing what I'm getting into. Although just a brief reference to "undocumented immigrants" and how they were trying to celebrate their Mexican Christmas traditions while living "in the shadows" in San Francisco, was enough for me. So sad that books, movies and TV shows cannot be simply for entertainment purposes any more, but MUST contain subtle, but overt, references to how unfair my country is (even though not integral to the plot itself), an otherwise, possibly, good story is relegated to the dust bin. Just my opinion.
