Fleet commander Prince Henry Sinclair clings to the dying Templar dream of establishing a New Arcadia with Eugainia enthroned at its beating heart. Eugainia lands, weakened and near death, on the Atlantic coast of present-day Canada. She meets Mimktawo'qu'sk of the peaceful tribe of Mi'kmaqs. This is a wonderfully written book. It is full of vivid descriptions and reads at time like poetry. The story is a quest for the holy grail. It is a myth and full of gods and godesses. What makes this book unique is that it is set in the 14th century in the area of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI and involves the Mic Mac Tribe. It is a very detailed story and provides interesting information about the culture of the MicMacs. Normally I do not like myths, but this one was readable because of the involvement of the Native Tribes. I did have to skip over some of the fights in the heavens, but overall an enjoyable read.
