Glory In Death
Book
#1 New York Times bestselling author J. D. Robb presents the thrilling second novel in her In Death series. When technology can reveal the darkest of secrets, there's only one place to hide a crime of passion--in the heart...
The first victim was found lying on a sidewalk in the rain. The second was murdered in her own apartment building. Police Lieutenant Eve Dallas had no problem finding connections between the two crimes. Both victims were beautiful and highly successful women. Their glamorous lives and loves were the talk of the city. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provided Eve with a long list of suspects--including her own lover, Roarke. As a woman, Eve was compelled to trust the man who shared her bed. But as a cop, it was her job to follow every lead...to investigate every scandalous rumor...to explore every secret passion, no matter how dark. Or how dangerous.

Add a CommentThis one is better than the first. Lots of twists and turns. This is a great series with a tougher than tough female cop in the future where things aren't much different than today.
2nd in series
Really enjoyed this book. Plan to read next in series. Can see Roarke & Dallas are on their way to romance & crime solving in 2025.
Very readable but the killer turns out to be the person you first thought of; the aggressive controlling sex is unpleasant and does not fit the lead character’s back story; the boyfriend just conveniently comes to the rescue all the time. So readable but not satisfying.
A romance novel involving a rich lover and a light science fiction with detective work devoid of drama. Not for me.
Great mystery in this Eve Dallas novel. Also great character development with Roarke and Eve. Their relationship is one of the most perfect in text.
Ahhh, must be nice having a super-rich boyfriend providing all kinds of luxurious surreal goodies. Our heroine enjoys but does not take for granted. And duty compels her to dive into the dirt and violence of the real world to seek justice for murder victims. A female white knight.
