Add a CommentI was initially drawn to the book's premise of a murdered teenager haunting her killer, and while the book touches on that, I was a little disappointed that the story took a different path - one that involved saving Purgatory from destruction. It was dark and entertaining enough, but not worth a second read.
A similar and more intriguing book to read is Laini Taylor's "Daughter of Smoke and Bone."
I wasn't all too fond of the ghost idea and Velveteen's character did not impress me at all. The book is okay, but pretty disappointing. I admit, the only reason why I read this book was because the cover was intriguing. (Don't judge a book by its cover! :p)
Really liked the book. Took me awhile to figure out what was going on in the beginning.
