Help! I'm reading Victoria Holt books and I can't stop! All of her books have interesting characters, plot twists, and, usually surprise endings. The settings in some are exotic: The Secet Woman, House of a Thousand Lanterns. You can't always tell which character is bad but I do enjoy "profiling" them all anyhow.

A really good story. Ms. Holt writes long enough to actually develop the characters and the plot.
