When two Jane Does are killed on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, behavioral specialist Avery North discovers they share something in common-- a tattoo of a magnolia on their shoulders. She joins forces with medical examiner Jackson Bryant, but it doesn't take long for them to realize that there is much more to the case than meets the eye. As they venture deep into a sinister world of human trafficking, Avery and Jackson are taken to the very edge of their abilities-- and their hearts.
4.5 I picked this book up because I was in the mood for suspense romance kind of book, and this book check all the boxes and then some. I was pleasantly surprised that there was so much more going on in this book and, while you are happy they found eachother, what was going on did not become the back story to a budding romance. I'm super excited to keep going with this author and her writing style. Great job Lisa Harris! The only thing I can fault this book for, which has nothing to do with the author, is that the description of the main character is nothing like the cover. It's hard to change my mind once I get an image in my head.

Did not find this an easy read and the characters were not well developed.
