This is a really quiet story. I think it might be a little too complex for very young children who typically read about farms and a little to simple for older kids who might actually understand the complexity of it. It is beautifully illustrated and can be a great conversation starter but it wasn't what we expected. (Read aloud to a 4 year old boy.)

Poor goat! He just needs a friend...and a snack. What a great story to read with your kids (get it? ha ha).
