This is a nice book to sing. Good for a preschool unit on senses.

I enjoy singing this book with children as the bear uses his five senses as he explores his world. He also learns about the four seasons. I like how Trapani adds new verses to familiar songs.

This bear goes on an adventure over the mountain using all of his senses. He learns what is good to eat, smell and touch and what is not safe. He hears and sees all sorts of wonderful things. Children follow the bear through all the seasons until he returns to his den ready for a long winter nap. This would be a great book to include when teaching about the five senses. A teacher could even use it to show the difference in the seasons.
