'Once Upon a Time, There Was You' starts out pretty interesting. You'll be happily reading along then BAM! a weird, out of the blue event happens, with a 'suspension of belief' resolution and the story completely falls apart. It becomes a…

Disappointing. Story flipped too much for my liking and it was not fluid. I've never read BERG before...not sure I will again.

As usual, Elizabeth Berg does not disappoint. An excellent read about all sorts of relationships.

Loved this as I am a fan of Elizabeth Berg in general. I enjoy the way she writes for women of "a certain age" of which I'm one. I would call it grey lit as opposed to chick lit! She understands her characters and writes for them…

Slow moving - great book for a car ride or beach - not sure why it made the New Yorks Best Seller list

Another disappointing novel from Berg. Too light & fluffy. Her earlier novels were much better, ie Open House and Joy School.

This is a well-written book about a family's journey through life. The characters are all flawed people, as is the case in most of Berg's books. A terrifying event spurs the main protagonists, a young woman and her divorced parents, to…
