I would like to order this book to be sent to the Des Moines Library. I think I didn't do it correctly on line. Thank you! Pati

Plot or Premise The year is 1968, the location is Russia. Alexander's father defies the state and the KGB kill him. He and his mother must escape, and they have to choose between a ship going to the UK or one going to America. What I…

Not the best Jeffrey Archer book. Confusing in the jumping back and forth.

As my first Archer book, I was disappointed in the "heads you win" concept of the story. I was, actually confused. After the introduction which promised a good read, the chapters alternate telling the life of 2 Russian teens immigrating…

This was my first Jeffrey Archer book and I was pleasantly surprised by his work. I shall be reading more of his books in the future. I found Heads You Win to be an puzzling but exciting read. Archer is a great story teller and the…

A bit difficult to get into the plot. Interesting middle bits but really short changed us with the ending.

Idiotic plot with a predictable ending. Mr Archer is well past his sell by date.

I was never a fan of English authors until my first Jeffrey Archer book. I wasn't sure of what to make of Heads You Win when I first started it, but it didn't take me long to stop caring because it is THAT GOOD. I found the ending a bit…

Loved the ending - the whole book was amazing! Alexander and his mother Elena escape communist Russia hidden in a case of vodka smuggled into the hold of one of two ships sailing out of Leningrad. One ship heads to England while the…

This book is a total waste of time! I was looking forward to a new book by this author then I started reading it and thought wait a minute, this is ridiculous! He basically wrote two short stories, the same people in each one except one…

Confusing! Not even a good try from an otherwise good writer.

When Jeffrey Archer writes a new book, you know it will be good. This one is exceptional. The story starts out in Leningrad with an honest man's murder and his wife and son's escape. So far so good. What happens next is that we're led to…

A fantastic book. You may get a bit confused at the beginning but then you will catch on quickly. This book shows how we all wonder if our lives had gone on in another direction. I strongly suggest that you read this book.

I don't know about you, but many times I have wondered how my life would have played out if I had made different choices at several critical times in my life. With that, I have even invented an alternate reality in my head from time to…

HEADS YOU WIN is another great book by Jeffrey Archer. Great story line and character development; which I am happy to see span several decades. Book One (chapters 1-3) grabs your attention. Chapter 4 starts Book Two, and the minute I…

Archer employs the trope used in Sliding Doors (the 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow movie) to spin this charming yarn in two parallel stories covering Archer's favourite interests: politics, art and business. While the movie is comedic, the novel is…
