Summaries
Add a SummaryGregor and his two-year-old sister, Boots, fell through a... hole (?) and into the secret (kinda) underground world called the Underland (kinda obvious name). They learn of the Prophecy of Gray, and has to go on a quest to save their dad, who disappeared from their apartment two years ago and apparently fell through the same air duct as Gregor and Boots and has been imprisoned by the rats.

Add a CommentLove the series. started April 29,2012 and im sure im going to love the other books! :)
As good as the hunger games is, this series needs some work! i didnt even finish the whole first book, it was very hard to get into and very boring
I love this entire series and have reread then multiple times. Almost as good as her second series The Hunger Games!1
As an adult, I still quite enjoyed this book. Great adventure and action. This series gets quite graphic and dark. Much like Mrs Collin's Hunger Games series, these books can easily satisfy an older audience than they are intended for.
This book sucks i hated it!!!!
Vv Spoilers vV
I love it! I've never read a book that has giant crawlers, bats, rats, and [normal-sized] pale, purple-eyed humans living underground since the 1600... or somewhere around that time. And I certainly never thought that a way to get to the underground world is by falling through that air duct (or whatever it's called) in the laundry room. I love the prophecy. It's so cryptic (I mean the last part, the rest were pretty easy to guess). I LOVED Ripred! He's one of those kick-ass warrior rats who can get out of any situation! And Henry's betrayal, well, I didn't expect that. I didn't expect him to die, since he's Luxa's cousin, and in other books, people like Henry ([seems] nice, no reason to betray anyone, is close to his cousin... yeah) don't usually die... I think... Can't remember. Anyway, overall, great book and anyone who hasn't read this, HAS to read it. I read this in a day.
I've read the whole Gregor series and the first one (at least at the beginning) is a bit slow. My sister read it and thought i'd like it so i read it. I was kinda bored at first but trust me the books get better adn better, until the last one.......the last one i've read about 4 times and could read again, it's just AMAZING!!! However you should NOT read this series if you don't like war, blood, graphic battles and BIG rats, bats, and bugs. It still is a great series.
AWESOME BOOK!!!!
A delicous tidbit of a read. Alice in Wonderland gone awry. A boy who wields warrior status in the face of man-eating rats. What a story.
